Satellite Poster Map of Missoula, Montana

SKU: TER-16 Categories: , , ,

Missoula is located in a deep valley surrounded by mountains and is cut by three major rivers, the Clark Fork River, the Bitterroot River and the Blackfoot River. The city is the namesake and center of the large, ancient Glacial Lake Missoula, which caused catastrophic floods across the northwest in the last ice age. Missoula is currently the second most populous city in Montana. Billings is the only city that has a larger population.

The majority of Terra Prints are created using data collected from the ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer)satellite sensor. With its 14 spectral bands from the visible to the thermal infrared wavelength region, and its high spatial resolution of 15 meters (about 50 feet), ASTER images Earth to map and monitor the changing surface of our planet.

The beautiful colors and remarkable imagery of these posters make for the perfect addition to any office, home or school setting.
