Located in southern Utah, theDixie National Forest occupies almost two million acres and stretchesfor about 170 miles. The largest National Forest in Utah, it straddlesthe divide between the Great Basin and the Colorado River.
Contained on this map are Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness, Ashdown Gorge Wilderness and the northern portion of Zion National Park. Points of interest include Pine Valley Recreation Area, Leeds Creek Kiln, Enterprise Reservoir, Mountain Meadows Historic Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Pine Valley Equestrian Campground.
