There are several dozen hikes to do around Bozeman, Big Sky, and West Yellowstone. A lot of those hikes are great and a lot are mediocre. The hikes described in this guide are the great ones, the ones which locals do over and over, the ones which are the 'must do' hikes for visitors.

This guide is sort of a combination of a map and a book. It looks like a map at first - printed on plastic material and folded - but when it is unfolded it looks like the pages of a book laid out side by side. Its design allows you to carry a one ounce map in your pack instead of a one pound book.
